How prop firms pay you: Rise, crypto, bank and card, worldwide

Key takeaways
  • Most futures firms pay through Rise, a payments platform. You then move the money to your bank or to crypto.
  • Outside the US, the usual routes are Rise, crypto, international wire, Wise or PayPal. Which ones you get depends on the firm and your country.
  • Check the minimum, the fees and the time for your route before you buy, not after your first payout.

Passing an evaluation is only useful if the money can actually reach you. Payout routes differ a lot between firms, and some routes don’t work in some countries. Below is how nine firms pay, taken from their own help centres, with a filter so you can find the firms that support the method you want.

How a payout travels

The firm pays either directly to your bank, card, PayPal or Wise, or through a payments platform such as Rise, from which you withdraw to a bank account or crypto wallet. Firm Rise Direct Bank Crypto Bank / wire Card · PayPal
Rise is a payments platform many futures firms use. The firm pays your Rise account, and you withdraw to a bank or a crypto wallet. Rise sets its own withdrawal fees.

The main methods, compared

  • Rise: the default at Tradeify, MyFundedFutures, Earn2Trade and Top One. You sign up once, sign any agreements the firm sends, then withdraw to a bank or crypto. Firms say Rise sets the fees, so check Rise’s rates for your country.
  • Crypto (usually USDT or USDC): fast and available almost everywhere. FundingPips warns crypto payouts can lose value to service fees, exchange rates and network fees. You also need a wallet and a way to turn crypto back into local currency.
  • Bank wire or ACH: simple, but international wires cost more and take longer: Topstep quotes $30 and 5–10 business days. Your own bank may add a receiving fee.
  • Card push (Visa Direct, Mastercard Send): FTMO and FundingPips can pay to a card, often within minutes, if your bank supports it.
  • PayPal, Wise and Skrill: handy where they work. Lucid and Take Profit Trader offer PayPal; Topstep offers Wise in some countries; FTMO offers Skrill.

If you live outside the US

Check before you buy: several firms list countries that can’t receive payouts at all. Topstep tells traders to check its eligibility list before purchasing. A route that’s “available internationally” may still exclude your country.
  1. Find your route first. Look up which of the firm’s methods work where you live, and what that route costs on top.
  2. Compare the real amount received. A $30 wire on a $1,000 payout is 3% before your bank and exchange-rate costs.
  3. Have a back-up. If Rise isn’t available in your country, FundingPips pays in crypto instead, and Tradeify offers Plane.
  4. Keep records for tax. FTMO, for example, says traders are solely responsible for their own taxes. Keep every payout confirmation.

Five payout mistakes

  1. Sending crypto on the wrong network. FundingPips only pays to ERC20 or TRC20 addresses. A wrong network or address can mean lost funds.
  2. A name mismatch. Topstep only pays to a bank account in your name, and FundingPips requires your Rise email to match your account email.
  3. Leaving a payout unclaimed. At Topstep, Wise payouts not claimed within 7 calendar days are cancelled and returned.
  4. Requesting tiny amounts. Minimums and flat fees ($50 under $250 at Take Profit Trader) punish small withdrawals.
  5. Setting up Rise on payout day. Onboarding takes time. Do it as soon as you’re funded.
